Full inclusive Car Hire

GENERAL

We only deliver cars in the Algarve and Lisbon and Cartaya and Islantilla, Spain.
Besides the international airports of Faro and Lisbon we can deliver cars at your hotel or resort upon request and subjected to a small surcharge.
"Rent it here, leave it there" is possible throughout the Algarve subjected to a small surcharge.
Minimum drivers age is 23.
Drivers license must be valid in Portugal and held for more than 2 years. Please ensure to have all necessary documents available for proof.
Customer's credit card details may be asked to guarantee the reservation.
After your reservation is confirmed, if for any reason you are not planning to go ahead we ask you please to send us a message canceling your reservation. This way we can have the car free for another client.
PortugalCars.co.uk is a founder member and strongly supports the resolutions of AERCO. All members have access to the AERCO bookings database and can detect duplicated reservations or other kind of fraudulent transactions. To avoid further problems we strogly recommend our clients to:
- Not give false information
- Email of phone us to cancel if not plannig to show at collection time
- Not make several reservations for the same car and period with several companies

DEPOSIT

To deliver a car we require a valid credit card details for security reasons. If not possessing a valid credit card, a cash security deposit has to be left which is fully returnable, when car is returned damage and loss free - Cheques cannot be accepted.

RESERVATION

To make a reservation we must have full details of your flight number, flight time and departure airport.
When completing the reservation form, please check your email address once again as without it, we cannot reply to you.
When filling in the reservation form, please make sure you enter your address, phone number and flight number and arrival time. Please note that without this information we cannot confirm your reservation.
Reservations must be done not less than 48 hours in advance of your arrival in Portugal to guarantee a confirmation of your booking.
At the airport a friendly staff member of the company will be waiting you out the arrivals gate bearing a signal with your name on it. Please look for this signal.
Baby/Child seat(s) are available upon request and charged according to the price list. Please mention this within the reservation form to guarantee availability.

PRICE INFORMATION

One rental day is equal 24 hours - Each fraction of a day is considered as an aditional day.
Prices quoted on this web page are our best rates and further discount cannot be granted.
Rates for 3 days are 50 % of the weekly rates.
Rates more than 3 and less than 7 days are based on the 6 day pro-rate.
Rates less than 3 days are based on the 4 day pro-rate.
Rates more than 7 days are based on the 7 day pro-rate.
Full payment is required upon signing the rental agreement. The payment has to be done with a valid credit card (Visa/Master/Eurocard, Diners Club or American Express), travellers cheques or in cash (also foreign currencies) - foreign cheques cannot be accepted.
All quoted rates include free mileage, unlimited public liability and V.A.T.

INSURANCE
You have all the usual insurance coverage like CDW (collision damage waiver), TW (theft waiver), Personal Insurance, Bail Bond etc. The difference is that there is no excess so nothing to pay in the event of an accident! Our insurance is simply zero-deductable. You have no responsability in the event of damage caused by accident and reported to the police!
You will be asked to pay by credit card on arrival as a security measure against vehicle theft but in the event of an accident this is not deductable for bodywork damage.

FUEL
The fuel used during the rental is not included in our rates.
On collection, the car will be delivered with a certain amount of fuel in the tank. We just ask you to return the car with the same amount of fuel.

LOST CAR KEYS
Car keys are "chip-coded" affairs these days and are both timely and costly to replace. If you hapen to lose your car key we will charge you EUR 200,00 to replace it + any transport costs associated in connecting you and the new key. You may opt to replace the key personally at the manufacturers rates locally if you prefer to do so. Please take good care of the key!

TYRES & GLASSES
customers are responsible for damage to the cars tyres and glass, if not caused by accident, during the hire period. Please don't park up the vehicle with personal objects inside which is simply too darned attractive to thiefs.
